Admission to the College of Applied Engineering

 

Admission to King Saud University - Undergraduate Level

Admission to King Saud University at the undergraduate level is based on the announced admission criteria through the Unified Electronic Admission Portal for male students in Riyadh Region. Admission is determined based on the composite percentage, which is calculated as follows:

  • Cumulative high school GPA
  • General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) score
  • Scholastic Achievement Test (Tahsili) score

Admission to the College of Applied Engineering Track

High School Tracks: (General - Computer Science - Engineering - Health and Life Sciences) or equivalent.

Admission Criteria:

  • 30% High School GPA
  • 30% General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) Score
  • 40% Scholastic Achievement Test (Tahsili) Score

Admission is granted directly into the College of Applied Engineering Track at Al-Muzahimiyah Campus.

Specialization is determined competitively based on the cumulative GPA in one of the following programs:

  • Applied Electrical Engineering
  • Applied Mechanical Engineering
  • Admitted students first enroll in the First-Year Common Program in Al-Muzahimiyah.
  • After completing the first-year common program, students who remain in good academic standing register for third-level courses in Applied Engineering in the first semester of the second year. Then, they register for fourth-level courses in the second semester.
  • After completing the second year, students are officially assigned to a major if they meet the specialization criteria for one of the college's programs:
    • Applied Electrical Engineering Program
    • Applied Mechanical Engineering Program
